This stunning tree sure knows how to make a statement!
Cornus contraversa ‘Variegata’ is a lovely tree naturally growing in a layered form, with green and white variegated foliage. Often known as the wedding-cake tree, due to their tiered form and lighter coloured foliage, this smaller growing tree draws the eye in any landscape.
The photo above was taken on a recent visit to Larnach Castle in Dunedin, where these specimens were growing. Such beautifully kept grounds there, any avid gardeners paradise!
