Broad-leaved European Lime

The European Lime has a stately elegance. The heart shaped leaves of fresh green radiate health, standing strong and proud on a upright, rounded form. In the summer months, white-cream flowers emerge but are not overpowering. Their scent is stronger that their appearance, diffusing a sweet smell into the atmosphere. Autumn is welcomed with a vibrant yellow shade. It is possible to train this elm into a pleached avenue and the effort is certainly worth it.
