Columnar English Beech

The purple leaf version of the strikingly narrow and tall FAGUS sylvatica English beech is remarkable for its autumn colour, the result of a gradual intensification of shades that takes the leathery leaves from purple in spring to deep burgundy. Branches are upright and well informed, making this a bold and dramatic choice for entrance ways and avenues. Deciduous and hardy, it will grow to 6 x 2 metres.
