Prairie Crabapple or Betchel Crab

A tree noted for the large frilly soft pink fully double flowers that arrive in late spring and resemble rambling roses, with a violet-like perfume. The blossom is followed by a small greenish-yellow fruit and a spectacular burst of autumn colour, with bright reds, purples and gold. An attractive vase-shaped smaller tree, it is deciduous and grows to 3–4m.
