Forms an upright, multi-branched shrub. Erect, long, deep red buds open to red-violet flowers with white-tinted interiors. Flowers with great abundance in late-spring, from an early age. Flowers are slightly fragrant. Hardy, deciduous, grows to 2.5 x 2.5m.
