Spanish or Sweet Chestnut

A hardy quick-growing broad rounded crowned tree with large dark green oval leaves changing to deep gold in autumn. Produces edible chestnuts during summer. Will tolerate drought conditions when established. An excellent shade specimen for parks, avenues and street plantings. Hardy, deciduous, grows to 10m+.
