Columnar Canadian Maple

Otherwise as as ‘redpointer’, the pyrimidal form of this Canadian maple marks at as a more formal example of the colourful family. It certainly has some colour too. When Autumn comes, the 3 lobed leaves turn the most vibrant shade of red. A mature specimen will almost take on a classical flame shape that reaches up towards the sky. It’s a wonderful sight from a tree that’s suited to formal settings. A hardy maple, expect fully mature versions to reach 8 x 3m.

Suitable for: Avenues, street and specimen planting.
