PRUNUS serrulata ‘Kanzan’ – Pink Flowering Cherry is a hardy and upright tree named after a mountain in the Shimane prefecture of Japan.  Known to also be native to China and Korea, it’s prized for the deep double pink cherry blossom that has seen it take centre stage at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. These trees form an upright, vase-shaped tree in time.
