FAGUS ‘Purpurea’ – Purple Copper Beech

With a lustrous canopy of deep purple leaves providing a striking contrast against the blue of a summer sky and green of the grass and other plants, the FAGUS ‘Purpurea’ or purple copper beech, makes for an imposing sight.

This splendid appearance sets it apart as a wonderful feature tree.  It makes for an excellent shade tree or that dense and layered canopy can be trimmed to form an attractive hedge or screen.

Deciduous, the tree can grow to 8 meters.
