Elms for Shade Trees 😎

During those hot summer months, there is arguably nothing better than resting for a few moments to bathe in the welcoming shade of a tree.  As the intensity of the heat dissipates, the air smells fresher, time and heartbeat slow, and a wave of relaxation washes over you.  These are those summer moments everyone needs. 

Which means you need a shade tree.  There’s a number of options and Harry has picked a few of his favourites. 

But before we get to them, Harry would like to make an important point about these trees…

“Elms are thirsty.  They’re best planted in spring and autumn, when they’re likely to be welcomed by a decent splashing of rain as they grow.  Indeed, Elms need up to 3 times the watering of an average tree in their early years, as they look to establish themselves.  It’s ok, though.  Your attentiveness will be rewarded when they mature.  It is very much worth it.”
