We’ve updated our team photos for 2026, so here’s a look at the people who keep the nursery moving. From the outside to the office, every part of our work is shaped by the people behind it. This group shot captures the full crew, all working together to grow strong, reliable trees for projects across Aotearoa.

The Harrison Family
Chris, Barney and Ryland Harrison
Easy Big Trees has always been a family business at heart. Chris, Barney and Ryland represent the Harrison family’s fourth generation in horticulture, carrying forward the same focus on quality and care that has shaped the nursery for decades.
Their group photo reflects what they bring to the business every day: experience, steady leadership and a genuine love of growing trees that will stand the test of time.
Your Sales and Operations Team
These are the faces you’ll talk to when you phone, email or visit the nursery. They’re here to help with orders, planting advice and anything you need for the season ahead.
Mel – Sales Lead
Mel is the calm centre of the sales team. She brings a steady, organised approach to every enquiry, whether it’s a quick question about planting distances or a full landscape plan needing multiple species. Customers appreciate her clarity and the way she breaks things down into simple, practical steps. Mel’s known for guiding people toward choices that will thrive long term. Her work keeps the sales side running smoothly through the busy Seasons, and she brings a warm, approachable energy to every conversation.
Micah – Operations Manager
Micah is the link between the nursery, the paddock and the customer. His background in landscaping and hands‑on horticulture gives him a deep understanding of how trees behave, how they need to be handled and what it takes to get them from the ground to the customer in top condition. He oversees logistics and the day to day flow of production, making sure every tree is cared for with precision. Micah brings structure, consistency and a people‑first mindset to the team, and his calm, practical approach keeps the whole operation moving in harmony.
Their standalone photos were taken in front of one of our favourite heritage olives at the nursery, and that leads us neatly into this week’s feature.
Feature: Olive Trees – Calm, Durability and a Sense of Wellness
Behind Mel and Micah you’ll spot a row of mature Olive Trees, chosen not just for their form but for the feeling they bring to a space. Olives have a natural sense of calm about them, with soft grey foliage that settles beautifully into both modern and traditional landscapes.
Olive Frantoio Heritage Collection 1000L
They’re known for their durability, handling coastal winds, dry soils and tough conditions with ease. That resilience is part of their charm, giving gardens a sense of stability and long‑term structure.
Olive Frantoio – Wanaka
Olives also carry a feeling of wellness and harmony. Their Mediterranean character brings warmth to outdoor areas, creating spaces that feel inviting and lived in. Whether used as feature trees, boundary plantings or courtyard anchors, they add a quiet, grounding presence.
