We’re Back

After a well enjoyed break we’re back on site and easing into the rhythm of a fresh year. The nursery has that familiar hum again, with the team returning sun kissed, recharged and full of stories from their time away. It’s the perfect moment to reset, take stock and look ahead to the busy months of Summer while everything is growing at pace.

We thought we’d share some highlights ofwhat the crew has been up to over the break:

Barney

Spotted this cool old tree with character captured against broody summer skies

Barney came across this old tree with so much character, standing out perfectly against the broody Summer skies. He couldn’t resist grabbing a photo.

Mel

Mel spent the holidays out on the lake, properly unwinding with family and friends. Perfect for the busy year ahead.

Micah

Kea in flight with Milford Sound behind it

Micah spent every moment he could up in the mountains. He even managed to catch a Kea in flight with Milford Sound behind it. The real highlight was watching a decent avalanche on his way down. Wild experience.

Ryland

Ryland adopted Speights the black lab over Christmas and he’s doing great. He’s loves the ball and he’s settled in quickly and is stoked with how well he’s doing.

Sam

Sam had a fab hens do at the twilight races, then got stuck into the new end of year gift Nadia Lim cookbook and made pavs and tiramisu.

Simon

Simon headed down to the Catlins and spent time at Tautuku Bay and Purakaunui Falls. Such a good spot.

Ulmus glabra ‘Pendula’

Ulmus pendula 400lt – Heritage Collection

As we settle into the season it’s hard not to miss the deep green sweep of Ulmus glabra ‘Pendula’. Its broad, cascading canopy is at its best in high Summer, throwing generous shade and bringing a lush, cool presence to any landscape. If you’re planning ahead for structure and comfort in the hotter months this is a standout tree to consider.

We’re looking forward to sharing more highlights, updates and seasonal insights with you as the year unfolds. It’s good to be back and even better to be growing alongside you.
