New Form Lombardy Poplar

The remarkable fastigiate habit, where the tree branches run almost parallel to the stem, define the look of this deciduous tree. The small, green triangular leaves are incredibly orderly and as they turn in winter, they transform the tree into a bronzed column, seemingly reaching for the sky. This ‘straight up’ growth makes them popular for avenues, laneways, screening and shelter. The height can be maintained with topping or it will reach heights in excess of 10m.
