Semi-Evergreen Alder

The long and leathery leaves are quite distinctive, with these serrated, or toothed, margins, which taper at the end. As a semi ever-green, most will stay all year round. The new leaves of spring inject some freshness against the darker, mature leaves. As the year progresses, pendulous catkins appear, along with a green cone-like fruit. Suitable for pleaching, use as a screen or as a bank stabilizer, this tree will grow to 6 x 4m.

Suitable for: Shelter belts & avenues, topiary.
