The smooth bark is patterned with green and silver stripes, working to create an appearance not unlike a snakeskin. The characteristic 3 lobed leaves are a rich green, turning to shades of orange, gold and red as Autumn unfolds. With its elegant, spreading shape, the Snake Bark Maple makes for a good specimen or feature tree. A suitably hardy deciduous tree, it will grow to 4m.
