FAGUS sylvatica ‘Dawyck Green’ – Columnar English Beech

Product Details

Columnar English Beech

A tight pyramidal canopy is the hallmark of a tree of increasing rarity, that originally comes from the Dawyck Estate in Scotland. In spring, long curled buds slowly unfold to reveal a refreshing lemon-green colour. With their deep veins, they’ll lighten to an effervescent shade of lime in summer, before fading to leathery yellows and browns in Autumn. The unique upright nature makes this deciduous, hardy tree well suited to entranceways and formal avenues. Will grow to 6 x 2 metres.

Suitable for: Formal avenues and entranceways.

Features: Narrow columnar form.

Botanical Name: FAGUS sylvatica ‘Dawyck Green’
