LAURUS nobilis – Bay Laurel Tree

Product Details

Bay Laurel Tree

The narrowly ovate leaves, with their high gloss finish, are lightly aromatic. The smell is definitively herbal and akin to thyme or oregano. Small yellow flowers are followed by dark, black berries in the summer months. Mediterranean in origin and appearance, yet surprisingly hardy and tolerant of coastal areas, it makes for an excellent screening plant or trimmed into a tight hedge of topiary. This evergreen will grow to 5 x 3 metres.

Suitable for: Group or specimen planting, tub tree, hedging or screening.

Features: Coastal tolerant, leaves can be used for cooking.
